How about 4G smartwatch — NO.1 smartwatch’s next target

March 14th, 2017

What is a 4G network? What is the difference between 3G and 4G LTE?

I know 4G network is very fast but I don’t know how fast is it. And also why it usually called 4G LTE.

LTE  stands for Long Term Evolution. It’s a term used for the particular type of 4G that delivers the fastest mobile Internet experience.

‘G’ stands for generation, that means 4G is the most current generation of cell phone network coverage and speeds. Using a 4G smartphone on Verizon’s 4G LTE network means you can download files from the Internet up to 10 times faster than with 3G.

I found a comprehensive comparison chart, you can have a look.

Comparison chart

3G versus 4G comparison chart
3G 4G
Data Throughput Up to 3.1Mbps with an average speed range between 0.5 to 1.5 Mbps Practically speaking, 2 to 12 Mbps (Telstra in Australia claims up to 40 Mbps) but potential estimated at a range of 100 to 300 Mbps.
Peak Upload Rate 5 Mbps 500 Mbps
Switching Technique packet switching packet switching, message switching
Network Architecture Wide Area Cell Based Integration of wireless LAN and Wide area.
Services And Applications CDMA 2000, UMTS, EDGE etc Wimax2 and LTE-Advance
Forward error correction (FEC) 3G uses Turbo codes for error correction. Concatenated codes are used for error corrections in 4G.
Peak Download Rate 100 Mbps 1 Gbps
Frequency Band 1.8 – 2.5 GHz 2 – 8 GHz

So far, LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition is the only one which supports the 4G LTE network. That’s one of the reason why everybody loves it.

smartwatchNO.1 plans  to launch a smartwatch which will also support the 4G LTE network. But what can we do with a 4G LTE network in a smartwatch?

As you know, NO.1 is specialized in Android watch phone manufacturing. Android watch is just like Android phone, you can do almost everything in Android watch without a phone connected. That means you can surf the internet, listen to music, watch video, play games, etc.

With the fastest network connectivity, you can surf the internet smoothly, chat online without delay (even online voice chat), watch your subscribed YouTube channel updates, surf the http://watchfaceup.com and download the most popular watch face in your watch. Pictures, Gifs or even videos will no longer a limitation in communication with a smartwatch, with the faster network, you can watch them smoothly.

What is your unique usage? Leave a comment or anything you would like to share with NO.1.

When its going to be this year not later i wish for Q3 i like the Oyster ring design but can you make replace like tied and untied and 1.4″ sapphire glass screen, definitely bigger screen, make like the GS01 smartwatch design(car type desing) longer and flatter, removable writs band, live the antennas in both side wrap up with some king flatter materials and put on the writs band like cover up,use the snapdragon 410 SOC and 600mah battery.

Thanks for your suggestion. Removable straps, bigger screen, larger battery capacity all these are Android watches limitations, but I’ve heard that NO.1 is working on a removable straps Android watch. But I don’t know when will it release and any parameter about it. We are working on this to create a better and smarter smartwatch. Thanks for your suggestion.
