NO.1 F4 important updates

November 4th, 2017

The new firmware is just released. We have made some important updates in this version.

  1. Long press the key button to enter the menu;
  2. Double click to exit the swimming mode
  3. Improve the dynamic heart rate monitoring
  4. Data report of sleep monitoring on F4

    Hello Jon,

    help me please

    1. Altitude is wrong, usually is 376, good value is between 140-180
    2. Blood press usually is 124/81, good value is between 150/90
    3. Heart rate in resting is between 70-90, good value is 60 and in warm up is also between 70-90, good value is between 120-130

    firmware is 0.2.6, latest Fundo version and Andorid 7.1.1.

    I work nights, I sleep from 5 or 6am to 1 or 2pm. Is there a way to adjust this?
    The watch has a setting to track cycling but I cant find it on the app.
    Is there a way to have the PB and blood Oxegen checked and tracked automatically like the HR?

      If you try to use the heart rate monitor, it should light up, otherwises, the sensor is damaged.

    I’m liking the F4. what does it mean when the F4 displays a checkmark? The clock face will go to sleep so the display is dark. Infrequently, the face will display a checkmark.

    Hi, Jon!
    I have updated to 0.2.6 and it was well for the first few days, but after that the band started to freeze the step counting, usually during the afternoon. It starts to count them only after band restart and with some delay too. This was noticed on two bands.
    Other problem from 0.2.3 and 0.2.6 is the not accurate data for altitude, UV and atmospheric pressure – I live in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria, most of the city is located at about 500-550 m high, but the band continues to show closer to 400 m at that location, I have also checked it on two different locations in the country at 50m and at 150m but the band again was off with 200-300m difference from the real altitude.
    Also the weather data is quite random and does not represent the real temperature interval and weather conditions in the location
    It will be good in the next update this to be corrected the band to depict the name of the city, not just “Current city data”

        I think I have found the reason for the steps counting “freeze” in 0.2.6 – if you walk with a normal pace it is OK, but if you start to walk a bit faster, with a little bit bigger movement of the hand, the the band does not count for these movements. That was exactly the way I was walking at 5pm from work to pick up the kids from school and kindergarten – a little bit faster, with stronger hand movements.
        When I discovered this I have experimented on the same path but with normal walk pace and the counting of the steps was proper now.

      Now, with firmware 2.6, my F4 counts only half steps then before with vertion 2.3. I have just walk about 30 steps to verify it and the counter has not been changed at all.

      Hello Mateo, notifications support multi languages. Did you try to change the language setting in your phone? Change to another and then back to yours. After synchronization, the notifications will change to your language.

    The main reason I chose the F4 is the weather update. I figured it wouldn’t be perfect. I just wanted to a general idea of the weather outside before I get out of bed. So far, it only shows in celsius, and it always gives me a message that “this function is not supported.” The temperature reading has changed sometimes, just no where near accurate, not even close. In fact it ususlly reads 46-64 degrees. Any idea if a future update will fix the weather? And yes, I have updated, and all other functions works as expected. Overall, I am very happy. All functions seems to be very accurate. I just would like the weather to work.

          Hello Owaiz, yes, this watch supports sleep monitoring, it will record from 9:00 pm. to 9:00 am.. But I’m sorry, the pedometer is a bit inaccurate.

    Hi Jon,

    Since updating the FunDo Pro app to 1.2.8 I’m having big problems with the bracelet loosing bluetooth connection each time the display of my smartphone goes off. I’m using Xiaomi Redmi 4x on Android 7.1.2. The firmware is: 0.2.3. I set FunDo as guarded application so it would continue to work in the background, while the display gets turned off. But still the blueetoth connection is getting lost every time. Could you help with this problem?

          Hello Jacque, I’m sorry for the inconvenience, this watch does not have an option to turn on/off the sleep monitor. But as you know this watch supports 12/24 hr format, if you set your phone am as pm, then you can use the sleep monitor in the daytime.

    Hi. Is it possible to close the FunDo application? It always remains in the background. This is necessary for notifications to work, but it should be possible to close the application. For example, I have a scale with Bluetooth and it does not work because FunDo and F4 have picked up Bluetooth. If I uninstall FunDo, the scale works for me, but I lose the data that FunDo had saved.

    I suspect that the app don’t access to the info of the gps. Because the altitude, the uv and the weather is always the same and is not real information.
    Other smartbands can take blood pressure hourly… why not take it in account for a new firmware version?. Thanks.

      ummm, hello joe, I’m sorry about this, because F4 doesn’t support custom sleep. 🙁 But there is a trick, you can manually change your phone’s time, after synchronization, you can’t disconnect it. And you can wear it when you go to bed, the sleep monitor will work as it should be.

    Another issue, when power off the device in settings option, when it wakes up again, it is frozen in the main screen even if you have unselected that option. so it is consuming battery very quick.
    I am using last firmware version.

    please for future firmware update, put just another main screen with just calories and steps and the time. and also put a whole menu just for steps count.

    Any idea when the new release is going to come?

    I have just bought the F4 smart watch and downloaded the FunDo Pro app. My impressions:
    1. Can anyone please explain me how to monitor sleep on F4? I have been wearing it for 3 days now, but not sleep data is recorded. Is there any setup required? Or I have a faulty device?
    2. Also, the pedometer overestimates daily step count. Ie, if I am standing still washing dishes, the hand movement will activate the acelerometer and input as steps. Perhaps the sensitivity is too high has to be reduced in the next firmware upgrade.
    3. The heart rate test is set to measure every 60 minutes, all day, but so far, not a single automated measurement has been done. I have to manually enter the menu and measures. Also, Syncing between the watch and the app in not occurring. I have to press the sync button in the app to sync data.
    4. I would like automated BP and oxygen sats funtion be incorporated in future upgrades as there is already for HR (but functional please!)
    5. A link to an email for contact would be interesting in the “about” section of the app.

      Hello rodrigo,

      1, Did you try to update the firmware? Wait, does the raise hand feature work? First, update the firmware to see if it works, but if the raise hand feature doesn’t work, then it is the hardware issue.

      2, the pedometer, the G-sensor depends on the hand move.

      3, yes, I received some reports about this, just update to the latest firmware.

      4, thanks for your suggestion, sorry, F4 can’t support this. 🙁

    Hi again Jon.
    I’ve tried that setting quite a few times and it didn’t work.
    I reset the watch.
    I deleted the app and reinstalled it again.
    I then paired the watch and phone again…. and none of this helped.
    This feature hasn’t worked since I unboxed the unit.
    Does this mean that the watch is faulty and should i rather return it?

      Hello Brent, first, go to the Fundo Pro settings, tick up the auto-wake-up feature. If it still doesn’t work, make a reset, and then enable the feature again.

    I’ve just unpacked the No.1 F4 for 2 days. The battery was claimed that it can be stand by for 7-10 days, but for me it is only 1 or 2 days has running out of battery even when I turned off the notification. Could you help me about this?

    I’ve same problem as Kamil after updated firmware v.0.2.2. the height in outdoor menu is not being displayed correctly. Earlier it was 30 m and now it’s incorrect 300 m.
    I bought 2 pieces one show attitude 30 m. (v.0.1.8) another show 300 m.(v.0.2.2).
    The air pressure are almost the same at 1010 hpa.

    Hello Guys,

    i bought 2 of these bracelets, one has low bright screen and long battery and the other is brighter and it barely lasts 1 day..

    I had firmware version 2.2 , I noticed that changing main screen ( the one that shows time, steps , calories etc) with the simple clock it now lasts half day more.

    I have downgrade the firmware to the version 1.7 and i am checking if the battery lasts bit more with the main screen with all the data… but i am afraid that it will not change anything.

    Please is there any solution? modify bright or something?

    FunDo presents a problem when it loses connection to the F4 (for example, when the F4 runs out of battery).
    I think FunDo is continually trying to reconnect and consume all the phone’s battery.

        I have now FW version 0.1.8 and App version 1.2.4.
        After restarts and bindings it is still same. On “Firmware upgrade” screen is shown 0% and on the phone notification bar is line “Upload failed / DFU process failed”.

            After a manual reflashing of the firmware version 0.1.8, it was already upgraded to version 0.2.2 over the Fundo app.
            But the problem with the altitude is the same as others.

    Hi, I updated the firmware from 0.1.8 version to the latest. My issue is that now the height in outdoor menu is not being displayed correctly now. Earlier it was 222 m and now it’s incorrect 2170 m. I am running Android Nougat, latest version of Fundo Pro, Xiaomi Redmi 4x

    I just update my F4 but the double click to exit the swimming mode isn’t the solution. The device isn’t able to register all the swimming session.

    I’ve just updated it from in-stock 0.1.8 version and seen the improvements.
    I’d like to ask a question. Does “Auto wake up on hand flip” function work on this firmware? Because mine didn’t work since I bought. Is it only on mine or needed to upgrade future firmware? Best

        I think it does. It count some steps and show in FunDo app.
